We are keen to become a community resource, with many seasonal events

for families and friends locally.

Thursday 1st March World Book Day
 Free book event at Celebrate the Seasons! I'm being brave and haven't booked up any school visits for WBD this year because I want us to have a lovely yearly event at Celebrate the Seasons :)
Everyone can come along dressed as book characters; we'll have book activities, displays, a second hand book swap, and we just so happen to have an author on hand who can do an 'author event' or three for you :) I thought I'd do Alien Invaders (Raventree Press) for the littlies, Ghoul Dinners (Egmont) and One Boys War (Frances Lincoln) - that ones at the IWM and Seven Stories at some point this year - yay!

In 2012, watch out for all sorts of seasonal events. In spring we'll be having a choctastic Easter Eggstravaganza Fair; summer brings a traditional Summer Fete. Early autumn sees the foodie Harvest Festival followed later by the Halloween Happening; winter is ushered in by a whole raft of Yuletide events including a visit from a traditional green English Father Christmas, storytelling by the yule fairies, a Frost Fair and more...
